What I'm saying on Twitter (rubbish usually)

A New Year's Resolution...

posted Tuesday, 6 January 2009

A very happy New Year to all the readers of this blog...

2008 was not a productive year for me as a blogger - work got somewhat in the way (50 and 60 hours a week hasn't really been conducive to good blogging...)  My resolution for this year is to try and blog some more!

Rather than bore you with my Christmas cooking escapades, I'm going to write-up some of my leftover recipes and not publish them until December - so for next Christmas, watch-out for Parsnip Soup with Sausagemeat and Chesnuts, Pea and Ham Soup, and a Moroccan-spiced Turkey and Pheasant Filo Pie...

The next recipe (this week I hope!) will be for a gently spiced pheasant stew with star anise...

One other bit of news...  Spud is pregnant again (hurray) and we're expecting a baby brother/sister for Maddie in June - so don't expect to see too many recipes calling for raw eggs over the next few months!

Happy New Year to you, Richard, and congratulations to you both. It's not easy to say "pheasant filo", is it? Mind you, easier than "pheasant plucker" after a few bevvies.
