London Restaurants - my personal choice in brief!

posted Tuesday, 20 September 2005
A brief overview of my favourite restaurants in London - there's quite a few different types.
This list will expand over time as I think of more entries, but - for the time being, these are my favourites!

Chez Bruce

Modern French

Recently voted best London restaurant by Harndens - and they ain't wrong.
Always great food.
Moro

Spainish & North African
££
Great, informal, exciting and intense food. Truly excellent bread - try not to fill-up on it before the mains come!
Alastair Little

Modern European
£££
I really enjoyed my trip here - food is light and shows a delicate touch - again, great bread!
Nancy Lam's Enak Enak

Indonesian & Far Eastern
££
If Nancy is in when you're there, you're in for a real treat. She is 'eccentric' to put it mildly! Recently extended and refurbished, I feel the restaurant has lost a little of its appeal, but still represents a very good night out. Love the food and the service
Oishi

Japanese & Far Eastern£
My local - couldn't tell you how often I've been here. Good sushi, great chilli-beef ramen - I have it almost every time I'm there. Probably best to avoid the wine and go for beer instead. Cheap as chips but way better!
