As I walked across London Bridge this morning in driving, horizontal rain more appropriate to a North Sea Fisherman than a City commuter, I realised my holiday can't come quickly enough.
We're off tomorrow to Portugal for 10 days or so. Looking very much forward to sun, sea, sand, and of course my first taste of Portugese food.
I'll be trying out my new online toy while I'm there - no access to email or the web, but I'll be posting occasional messages on Twitter - check out http://twitter.com/Rleader while I'm gone!
Have a wonderful time. Do try the many fish dishes, they were superb.
I'll have a look at Twitter but can't say that I truly understand what it's
all about...
Say hello to Portugal for me. And don't forget to eat the bacalhau.
Hey, there’s a new website about to launch called Behind the Burner: it
features exclusive tips on products and cooking techniques, as well as
video demonstrations with New York City’s best chefs! Be sure to check out
the website, www.behindtheburner.com, where you can sign up for email
updates and more info.
How was Portugal? I recently had my first trip there - had some amazing Sea
Bass freshly caught that day, some awesome bacalau and some massive gambas
- nom nom nom
Hey Richard, how was Portugal? And the food? Hope you tried the world
famous Pasteis de Nata :-)
This is a great webblog. When I was traveling, I used sites like this to
find the best places and now I am a steaknut so I go to www.citysteak.com .
If you are ever traveling in the U.S. and looking for a steakhouse, check
it out. Have a great trip!
Hi Richard, just wishing you and your family a happy new year and hoping
that you'll get back to blogging very soon.
Thanks and a Happy New Year to you too... I am back (sort of)!
